Most TryFormatter tools process your text, files, and code directly within your web browser. For supported tools, your data remains on your device and is not stored on our servers. Some features that interact with external websites or online services may process only the information required to complete your request.
1. Browser-Native Architecture
TryFormatter is engineered around a client-side architecture for most supported utilities. Formatters, file converters, image tools, code utilities, and calculators run inside your web browser using modern Web APIs, Canvas, and JavaScript.
For supported browser-based tools, operations such as formatting JSON, compressing images, converting files, or encoding text are performed locally within your browser using modern Web APIs and WebAssembly where applicable.
Some features that interact with external websites or online services (such as SEO header checkers or URL fetchers) process only the information required to complete your specific request.
2. Data Collection Boundaries
For browser-based tools, we do not collect or store the content you process.
We collect limited technical information such as anonymized usage analytics, browser type, and approximate geographic region derived by Google Analytics to improve performance and reliability. This aggregated data cannot be connected to individual identities.
4. Local Storage Usage
Local storage is used only for functionality such as theme preferences and recent settings where applicable.
This data is stored locally in your browser, is never sent to our servers, and can be wiped at any time by clearing your browser cache.
We do not maintain remote user accounts, persistent user tracking IDs, or remote server databases for user tool inputs.
5. Data Security Model
Because tool data processes locally on your computer or mobile device for supported tools, security depends on your browser, operating system, and device configuration.
All TryFormatter pages are delivered securely over HTTPS with TLS encryption to ensure document delivery integrity.
6. Third-Party Infrastructure
TryFormatter uses recognized infrastructure services for content delivery, fonts, and performance auditing:
• Google Analytics 4 — Anonymized web analytics (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Google AdSense — Advertising delivery (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Vercel — Web hosting and CDN infrastructure (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
• Google Fonts — Typography asset delivery (policies.google.com/privacy)
7. Your Privacy Rights
We design our services with privacy principles that support applicable privacy regulations, including GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA. Your rights may vary depending on your jurisdiction.
Because TryFormatter does not store personal user accounts or file input histories on remote servers for supported tools, we do not hold personal profiles to export or erase.

• Site Storage: Clear localStorage data at any time via your browser site settings.
• Analytics Opt-Out: Use the official Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) if preferred.
