Terms of Service

Please review the standards and guidelines for using the TryFormatter developer toolkit and our browser-native services.

Last updated: April 21, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using TryFormatter.com ("the Website"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and TryFormatter.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must immediately cease all use of our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Website.

2. Description of Service

TryFormatter provides a suite of browser-native developer tools including formatters, converters, encoders, and security utilities (the "Services"). All services are provided entirely free of charge and are intended for professional and educational use.

A key feature of our Services is that all data processing is performed locally on your device via client-side JavaScript. We do not provide data storage, cloud processing, or persistent history beyond what is stored in your local browser.

3. Intellectual Property

The Website, its original content (excluding user-provided input data), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of TryFormatter and its licensors. Our trademarks, logos, and mission-statement phrasing may not be used without prior written consent.

User-provided data—including code snippets, images, or configuration files processed through our tools—remains the sole property of the user. TryFormatter claims no ownership over the data you process using our services.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes. You are prohibited from using the tools to generate, format, or convert data that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the intellectual property of others.

You must not attempt to disrupt the integrity or performance of the Website or bypass any measures we may use to prevent or restrict access to the Services.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. TryFormatter makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the Services or the information, content, or materials included.

We do not warrant that the tools will be 100% error-free or that the output will be suitable for any specific production environment. You are responsible for verifying the output before deployment.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall TryFormatter, its owners, or developers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our tools, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data corruption, or business interruption related to the usage of formatting or conversion outputs.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which TryFormatter operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid by a court, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to minorly or significantly update these Terms at any time. We will indicate the update by changing the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

By continuing to access our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Website.
